Contemporary Lapis Lazuli Pendant By Keith Farley |
||
| As
with most of the pendants I make, I designed the lapis lazuli pendant
seen on this page to be suspended from a strong chain, an Omega chain,
or possibly a forged neckpiece. Although these pendants are seen with
diamonds, I'm certainly able to use other stones when making these or
similar pendants. The 14K gold pendant contains a tongue shaped lapis
lazuli with a wonderfully deep blue color. Directly above it is a bezel
set cabochon tourmaline. Channel set on an entirely separate element
are tsavorites that completely encircle the bail, the portion through
which the chain extends. The upper element is separate for a reason. On
either side of the lower body of the pendant extends a diamond. This
serves as a pivot for the upper portion and give it a most satisfying
kinetic quality. |
