| The platinum engagement ring seen below holds a diamond weighing about 1.25 carat. A smaller stone could certainly be used. This ring is quite simple while still incorporating more complex forms. I've created different versions of wedding bands for this and similar rings that I can point you to if you're interested. I've also made rings bearing essentially the same character with minor variations. one of which I've committed to a web page located at http://artwork-inform.com/jlngpt26.htm It may also be worth noting the inclusion of a pair of small beads located on the inside of the ring which are used to help stabilize a ring if it has a tendency not to remain upright. While I don't make tension set rings, the resulting appearance of this white gold
